We can often fill up our and our children’s days with ‘doing’. Over time, as that space begins to fill, we can start to experience a slowing up of the ‘processing speed’, plus other changes in function can start to appear (and of course it is more noticeable with age).
We can feel the demand for energy steadily going up, and so the quick fix (given we’ve got so much to do) is to take on more fuel.
Not only that, but we begin to experience a feeling of frustration, because everything is slowing down, including the time it can take to ‘switch off’ at the end of the day.
So because we’ve got so ‘conditioned’ to ‘doing’, the typical solution is to spend our time working up ways to ensure we can continue to keep doing, to be able to store all our and our children’s activities/experiences/memories.
And of course, when we find that solution, everything suddenly feels so much better. We are able to get on and function and we can feel the processing speed go up dramatically.
All that extra storage space means we can do all those various activities we had planned and we have all that extra space to store all those memories.
Until….????
